Limiting non-accrued absences
Your organization may have types of non-accrued absence you want to limit. For example, compassionate leave is unlikely to be accrued but may be limited to 10 days in any one vacation year.
Enter the following values in the Absence Accrual Rule:

Picklists. Used to give the annual reset date for absences. To limit absences of this reason to a number of days per vacation year, enter the reset date as used for vacation. |
Zero Negative Accrual On Reset |
Checkbox. Absences booked to this reason by a Team Member build a negative value through the year. Check the box to reset the value at the start of a new year. |
Enter the following values in the Absence Accrual Seniority:

Number. The cumulative time taken for this type of absence that cannot be exceeded. Any attempt to save an instance that takes the cumulative time over this limit is blocked. Time is measured from the last Reset Date. Enter the limiting value for this absence reason. For example, to limit compassionate leave to 10 days in a vacation year, enter 10. |
Block Minimum Year End |
A minimum permitted value for the projected year end balance for absence of this type. Any attempt to save an instance that takes the projected year end balance below this limit is blocked. Enter the limiting value for this absence reason as a negative value. For example, to limit compassionate leave to 10 days in a vacation year, enter -10. |
